Statement
I view wood turning as a three dimensional process which I believe involves 3 main functions.
- The Body
- Tool
- Machine
Just like all other processes, all three must work together in harmony when going through the turning process. Although most of my work to this point has been at the Architectural level, I have devoted more time to different forms of turning, with segmenting being one of my favorites.
When creating a turning I try to feature the natural beauty of the wood by combining it with good form and design. My goal is to study and explore all forms of turning to create pieces that reflect my style and are unique.
